We do not want to learn English slowly. Every learner wants to learn English as quickly as possible. Also, we all wish to improve our spoken English fluency. Well, there are no tricks that will give you perfect English in five minutes a day. But we do have some solid techniques that will help you learn how to speak English more fluently, in less time.

  • Don’t look for a quick fix – there isn’t one! We are living in a world where advertising teaches us to believe everything can be gained quickly and easily with a minimum of effort. In reality, the best things in life are often gained by working consistently to achieve a goal over time.
  • Set time aside for your English each day and make it a priority. Any time you spend on your English should be seen as an investment in your future fluency.
  • Surround yourself in English. Get yourself in an all English speaking environment where you can learn may be passively in the beginning. The best way to learn is through speaking.
  • Learn a new word every day.Choose a word you would like to work on and use practice it in different sentences. Use the word until you have learnt it and keep using it regularly.
  • Keep a note of new words you learn. Use them in sentences. You will find words easier to remember if you try to remember an example sentence using that word rather the word on its own.
  • Always keep working to improve your vocabulary, having a large vocabulary gives you greater flexibility and power of expression in English.
  • Practise the four core skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. They all need to be worked on for you to improve.
  • Don’t translate into English from your own language. Think in English to improve your fluency. Talk to yoursel but not in open public places otherwise people will think you have gone crazy!
  • Improving your pronunciation by learning sounds and repeating them
  • Don’t give up! Stay positive! Sometimes you will feel that you aren’t learning quickly enough. Everyone feels like this, don’t worry about it. You’ll get there in the end.
